General Comments About the Boat:
This custom long-range trawler yacht is as elegant as she is seaworthy. Built by Cape Scott Marine to ABS and A1 classification specs, she features state-of-the-art technology and workmanship of a caliber seen too rarely these days. The word "quality" seems to be tossed around so easily in yacht descriptions, but this remarkable vessel is clearly deserving. Her interior is tastefully sumptuous and masterfully executed, more reminiscent of a luxury home than a sea-going ship. The vessel herself is rated for all classes of open water cruising, designed and built to withstand whatever the ocean dishes out. Successful sea trials were completed in the fall of 2003 and this very special yacht is being offered brand new to an appreciative buyer.

The entire lounge has many large windows to let in light and the ocean view. It features a fireplace and a state-of-the-art entertainment center and contains a bar and dining area. Construction Details:
This yacht will be an ABS Class 1 certified vessel – rated for all classes of open water cruising. The upper deck is 43 per cent above the standards for strength set out by the America Bureau of Shipping and the hull is 76 per cent higher. This vessel’s design, model tested by Roddan Engineering of Surrey B.C., outperforms any vessel in its class. Rated at a maximum speed of 17 knots, compared to a typical 10 knots, the hull actually exceeds
the high-speed category classification.
All Cape Scott’s Mega Yachts are hand-constructed. The hulls are built using the Bead & Cove system. This superior system applies no stress to the inner core. This form of construction also provides perfect bonding, in what is called sandwich construction. By using Closed Cell foam core, a breach only penetrates the damaged cells and prevents water entering throughout the inner walls, as well as protecting the inner wall from shock. The hull’s entire outer shell is constructed using Stitched Roving and Vinyl Lester resin, which is highly water-resistant and prevents osmosis. The keel is solid fiberglass, with a protective Kevlar coating. The bulbous bow design, as well as increasing speed capabilities, improves fuel efficiency up to 12 per cent. It also stabilizes the vessel, reducing the porpoise effect in rough waters. The oval-shaped bulb reduces drag and is much more efficient than the rounded. The bulbous bow, is independent of the main vessel so, a potential breach upon collision would not affect the main vessel. Single screw, with a controllable pitch propeller and zero shaft angle on the prop to maximize thrust; all possible due to the tunneled hull design, whose contours force water into the prop. The Bi-Foil Skeg contributes to the Hydro-Dynamic flow and protects the prop from damage. The vessel’s stabilizers have computer-controlled, movable aft sections, that can move independently of the fixed wing. This provides greater stability and a smoother ride while cruising at slower speeds. These movable aft sections compensate for the vessels roll and pitch. The yacht has a large walk-around teak deck with Portuguese bridge, and the interior is Honduran mahogany throughout..
