General Description:
The vessel is an all welded aluminum catamaran fitted with a raked stem and a rounded transom stern. The vessel has a capacity of (600) passengers on (3) weather-enclosed decks. All passenger spaces are air conditioned and accesabile by the disabled.
The first superstructure tier, hereafter called the main deck, is fully enclosed and extends the full length and breadth of the vessel. The embarkation doors are on this deck, at roughly amidships, to the port and starboard sides of the ship. This deck has gambling machines and tables forward and aft, and is equipped with full service bars and sanitary facilities.
The second superstructure tier, hereafter called DECK 01, extends from the end of the forecastle to the extreme stern of the vessel. The Tropic Zone nightclub is located forward and the Tropic Zone dining room is located aft. There is a well-equipped scullery located port side aft on this tier.
The third superstructure tier, hereafter called Deck 02, has an outside passenger observation deck forward, a sports bar amidships and an open passenger deck aft.

ELECTRICAL OUTFITTING:
The vessel is fitted with a three phase, three wire, alternating current electrical system, supplying 480 volts and 115 volt three phase lighting distrubution through a bank of step-down transformers. Marine cabling consists of a three-conductor distribution cable, insulated by ethylene propylene rubber. External marine cable was found bronze armored. The main switchboard gear is located in the way of the port side hull below deck space, aft of amidships, outboard side. All circuits are protected from short circuit and circuit overload by marine type free circuit breakers, suitably sized for the application. Inspection of the visible wire runs revealed them to be well-routed, well-secured and in general good order and condition.
MACHINERY:
Four Detroit Diesel Model 16V-92 diesel engines, rated at 600 BHP at 1,800 rmp cach, provide vessel propulsion. These engines are air started, turbo charged, keel coled and dry exhausted through lagged exhaust through the inboard hull plating, port and starboard.
Each propulsion engine is fitted with a Twin Disc Marine Gear, Model MG 527, with a ration of 2.92:1. The propeller shafting consists of 4.4" diameter stainless steel shaft, and the vessel is fitted with (4) 4-bladed 48" diameter, 34 " fixed pitch bronze propellers.
The vessel is fitted with (4) generator sets powered by (4) keel cooled Cummins Diesel Engines, Model Number NTA-855G3. Marathon Electric manufactures the electrical side of the generator sets and they produce 480 volts, 3-phase, 60 Hz, 80 kw electrical power.

It is reported by the Engineer that the above hours are accurate. The engineering department maintains a machinery log on all machinery, which logs hours, oil changes, routine maintinace, minor repairs, replacements, overhauls, etc. This machinery log is maintained and kept in the engineers office.
STEERING MACHINERY:
The vessel is fitted with a total of (4) rudders, (2) per hull. Inspection of the steering machinery revealed the system to be clevis-mounted steering gear, equipped with a Jastrom electro hydraulic steering system, with an individual control for each hull. There is provision for vessel steering from the rudder room in the event of a primary failure.
AIR COMPRESSORS:
The vessel is fitted with (2) Quincy Model 3250 RB air compressors, (1) per hull.
Each compressor is equipped with (2) air receivers.
BILGE PUMPS:
Each hull is fitted with a centrifugal bilge pump that is driven by an approximate 10 h.p. electric motor. All below deck void spaces are piped with aluminum piping with pickups in each space. Auxiliry bilge de-watering can be provided by fire pumps, which are fitted with union and gate valve.
FIRE PUMPS:
The vessel is fitted with (2) Aurora centrifugal fire pumps that are driven by (2) electric approximate 25 h.p. electric motors. These fire pumps can also be used as bilge pumps.

DECK MACHINERY:
The vessel is fitted with a McElroy combination anchor windlass and mooring capstan in way of the forecastle. There is a McElroy vertical axis mooring capstan mounted on the main after deck. The rescue boat is launched and recoverd by way of steel advit, in way of the after main deck, driven by an approximate .5 h.p. electric motor.
ANCHORING & MOORING:
The vessel is fitted with a 2000 pound Navy type anchor and 360' ¾" diameter stud link anchor chain. The vessel fitted with 10" diameter double mooring bitts in way of the forecastle and the after main deck. There are single mooring bitts mounted in way of the main deck, port and starboard sides, amidships, in way of the embarkations doors. The bitts are equipped with suitable fairleads and closed chocks.
The vessel is equipped with approximate 2,000 feet of 8" circumference poly mooring lines.
